2010 Greater Milwaukee Open
PDGA B-Tier Tournament
An unbelievable weather forecast can only mean one thing – it is time to start the 2010 Greater Milwaukee Open. I know we’re ready for this to get underway and we are very excited to have you all here. As registrations have been pouring in we’ve been working diligently to make his huge undertaking as fun and enjoyable as it can possibly be. Provided in this e-mail are a bunch of great links in addition to some other very important info. Please read all of it very carefully because most of your questions are answered right here!
The Basics:
EVERYONE regardless of day or division is to report to Dretzka Park between 8 and 8:45 to check in (if you haven’t already on Friday afternoon) to ensure that you are checked in. All awards ceremonies will take place at Dretzka Park.
We are offering Random Draw Doubles on Friday night. We will play the Dretzka Park, 18 hole course from the short tees. Please be present and entered by 5:30. Payout will be over 110% and done in merchandise credit. You do not need to be a tournament player to compete in the doubles – it is open to anyone. We also have a PDGA Sanctioned doubles on Monday which will be held entirely at Dretzka Park.
Any other questions you might have are answered in your Caddy Guide which is attached in this e-mail. If it did not come through as an attachment for you, it can be downloaded here. Please print off a copy of the Caddy Guide, fold it twice, and bring it with you.
Final details:
This is the opening qualifier for the United States Disc Golf Championships Series. Like last year, the GMO, the Manitowalk in the Park, and the Mad City Open are your 3 qualifying events and we take your best 2 of 3 point earnings. A more detailed flyer can be found here. Best of luck to all competitors trying to earn at spot at the USDGC.
All aces will split all day and are specific to day. A & B have a combine ace pool as well as C & D have a combined ace pool. If no aces are hit, we will have a 60%, 30%, 10% CTP.
CTP holes will be announced during the player’s meeting.
Thank you so much for choosing to spend a portion of your Memorial Day weekend here in Milwaukee playing disc golf. We hope you enjoy your unique players package items and had a good time at two of Wisconsin’s finest courses.
